Summer 2021 proved to be a very busy one – just like 2020 was during the beginning of the Pandemic! The housing industry was very strong and continued to grow in leaps and bounds since then! With the shortage of available homes for sale on the market, the new construction industry took off and provided transplants to Tennessee an avenue to find the home of their dreams! Sometimes though, it was taking additional months to complete the builds due to material constraints and the lumber packages and construction materials overall drove the price points up considerably for new homes!
If you were one of the lucky ones to go under contract for a new home over the summer months – Congratulations! It was an insanely busy summer with multiple offers on most homes – usually going above-ask! Often times also having little to no contingencies in place: Cash offers, some with no inspections, no appraisal contingency (or appraisal gaps in contracts to account for this), and quick closings! It has definitely been a year for the books!

I have been very fortunate to have clients with phenomenal homes to sell in this market! They sold them quickly and in the end were very happy with the results! I feel very lucky to have the referral business that I do in this current climate! I am “here for it”! I love helping out past clients and also assisting their friends through their referrals! I never would have thought that we would still be in the midst of a Pandemic 18 months in…. But here we are! We’re all learning how to navigate through these uncertain waters of life!
As most of us are, it’s a busy time of life entering back into the school year with our kids and all that that entails. 🙂 We’ve still got the mask mandates and the timelines have just been extended until January here in Williamson County Schools… Flexibility is KEY in life – as we’ve all found out over the past year or so! I always want to be available to my clients and their needs – and always being just a phone call away for anything that they may need is a top priority of mine! As I boast with my tag line, I am the “starKEY2YourHome” after all. 🙂

I hope as we will soon enter into the Fall season, that we can all appreciate spending time with our families and friends and be thankful for our health and happiness as we know it! Spending time with our loved ones has become an even more important aspect of our lives. We all have to appreciate all the little things in life that we have been given. Tomorrow is never promised – as many of us have learned over this past year having lost loved ones. I for one am very grateful for today. I am thankful that I can provide a stable home for my family, assist many that may not be as fortunate, and look forward to tomorrow – where I know the sun will rise and I will be given another day on this earth to be productive and live my best life! I encourage each and every one of you to do the same! Always feel free to reach out to me to chat or discuss any questions or concerns that you may have about the housing market! I am always here for you – I’m simply just a phone call away! 🙂 615.955.0240
