April is always a beautiful month to welcome in Spring! All the gorgeous colors with budding new trees and flowers effortlessly blooming and lining the streets and fronts of houses in and around the communities we all live in! It’s also the PERFECT time to put your house on the market! Talk about gorgeous curb appeal! Spring is notoriously one of the best times to list your home – ask any REALTOR® and they will tell you the same thing! But this year – WOW – more than ever! Put that house on the market if you’ve been thinking of possibly moving within the next few years anyway! The inventory is SOOOO low right now, and that combined with record low interest rates, it’s a Win-Win situation for all sellers right now! All my listings this year have gone for at least $20,000 (yes, that’s with 4 zeros) over asking price! The Seller’s Market is primed and ready to go! The buyers are lining up pre-listing to take a crack at bidding on homes – sight unseen!
It is an absolute feeding frenzy out there for buyers! Almost any home that comes on the market has multiple offers coming in! Resourceful agents are finding ways to “Win Out” for their clients in this insatiable real estate climate! I did just that for one of my clients last week that I have been working with for quite some time! It is literally the best feeling when you are able to negotiate the best deal among multiple offers and WIN BIG for your clients! Sometimes it takes a little luck, I’m not going to lie. But overall, utilizing proven strategies to compete and win out in this market is why I love my job! Literally, there is never a similar day in real estate! Life is NEVER dull! I’ve been saying that for years just in my personal life since we have four kids…but now more-so also in my professional life!
When I first started in real estate, I always wanted to shadow other agents and see what a “typical day in real estate” might look like. As we all learn over time, there is nothing “typical” in any day in real estate! There are so many balls that we are juggling in the air with multiple listings or working with buyers and the inspection process and etc… that it’s hard to even put into words what our days look like! I Love It Though! It gives me the flexibility to complete all the tasks needed on my timeline (as contracts will allow) and feel completely satisfied at the end of a long day in real estate! One of the important nuggets I’ve learned is to always be working ON my business as well as IN my business! When one is self-employed, there is ALWAYS something to be working on! Managing your time and allocating it to the pivotal things that make my business successful is something I fine-tune everyday!
The most important thing in real estate First & Foremost though, is meeting my Client’s Needs! Whatever that may be, and it varies from individual to individual! I love working with people and learning what makes them tick, what inspires them, what their aspirations are…and then I in turn assist them in achieving those goals as their agent – both in real estate & just in normal human terms! My client base has mostly come from referrals and relationships of friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc. I know on a personal level! I actually ENJOY working with my clients and most often remain friends after the transaction is over!
If you are thinking of buying or selling in the near future – I would love the opportunity to interview to be your friend! I mean – interview for the job as your REALTOR® of choice! 🙂 Because just like the blooming trees this time of year, my budding friendships often turn into Happy Clients….and sometimes Repeat, Enduring Clients!
