The Nashville neighborhood of 12 South has become the go-to area for those visiting Nashville and locals alike. The picturesque main street is lined with restaurants, shops and photo ops. On the weekends you can find people lining up for a photo at the murals, enjoying a meal at one of the many restaurants, or soaking up the sun in the nearby park. Nashville Neighborhood: 12 South

Located a short drive south of downtown is 12 South. The community boasts a friendly atmosphere with plenty to do and see. It’s a diverse neighborhood that attracts families, college students, musicians and more.
First stop is Sevier Park! This park is great for a picnic, walks with your dog or working on your tan. There’s plenty of space to get in a workout, or there’s the Sevier Park Community Center. And get some fresh produce at the Farmers Market that happens there on Tuesday afternoons.

Snapping a photo in front of the many Nashville murals have become quite the popular attraction! And you’ll find that opportunity in 12 South. There’s the “I Believe in Nashville” mural, near Draper James, and the “Nashville Looks Good on You” mural near Frothy Monkey. Just don’t be surprised if there’s a line!

After your photo op, take advantage of the many shops that are up and down the street. Draper James, founded by actress Reese Witherspoon, showcases clothes with Southern charm and is a popular shopping destination. Get your coffee fix at Frothy Monkey and your barbecue fill at Edley’s. Sip margaritas and have tacos on the outdoor patio at bartaco. Enjoy delicious Lebanese food at Epice or grab a slice of pizza at Mafioza’s. And satisfy your sweet tooth with a donut from Five Daughters or a cookie from Christie Cookies.
